Earlier, Vivo had a contract with Ranveer Singh, but after 20 months it has been decided to abolish it.

Sanjay Gupta, managing director of Star India, the new broadcaster of the Indian Premier League (IPL), said that his goal is to reach 70 million people through its TV and digital platform in the upcoming season of the professional Twenty20 cricket league. Star India wants to build more audience than previous season through many exciting initiatives in the coming season. The last season of the IPL was seen by 53.5 million viewers. Star India will broadcast the matches of IPL in Hindi, English, Bangla, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

This upcoming season, more than 1000 players had registered for the auction, but BCCI cut it down to 578 players. Players have been placed in eight slabs based on their profile. The slab for the players is Rs 2 crore, Rs 1.5 crore, Rs 1 crore, Rs 75 lakh and Rs 50 lakh, respectively, while the base price of the uncapped players is Rs 40 lakhs, Rs 30 lakhs and Rs 20 lakhs respectively.
