Carlos Brathwaite has arrived in India for the T20 series being played between West Indies and India. Brathwaite is Windies' T20 skipper who shot to fame after his four consecutive sixes in the finals of T20 World Cup. The feat he achieved against India in Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
The Windies skipper was seen training for the match alongside T20 stalwart Kieron Pollard, who is also famous in India and is known for his hitting prowess. Pollard plays for Mumbai Indians in the Indian premiere league.
The other members of the Windies T20 side who were seen training included Darren Bravo, Khary Pierre, Nicholas Pooran, Denesh Ramdin and Sherfane Rutherford.
Around 18,000 tickets were sold till Thursday evening for the stadium which has 68,000 sitting capacity, Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) sources said.
Meanwhile for India Washington Sundar, who last made an appearance for India in the Nidahas Trophy, makes a comeback to the side along with Krunal Pandya and Shahbaz Nadeem. Both Pandya and Nadeem have also been added to the 15-man squad.
