India Vs West Indies 2nd Test: India win by 10 wickets against Windies, clean sweeps test series by 2-0

India has defeated West Indies by 10 wickets in the 2nd test being payed here in Hyderabad. India has completed a white wash in the series by defeating West Indies in the 2-match series.

An a round performance by the team was displayed here during the match, when bowlers and batsmen played maturely enough to combat Windies 311. India scored 367 in the first innings and had a lead of 56 runs.


As West Indies came to bat, Umesh Yadav who took 10 wickets in the match outperformed and took 4-45 in a lethal spell.

West Indies could not absolve the blow and were reeling at 76-6 at one time. But in the final session, the visitors could muster only 56 runs and got all out on 127. India was posed a target of 72 runs, which they achieved very easily with the class batting of openers Prithivi Shaw, who made 33* and KL Rahul also made 33* who made sure that India registered the win without any loss of wickets.

Spinners Ravindra Jadeja (3-12), Ravichandran Ashwin (2-24) and Kuldeep Yadav (1-45) provided terrific support to Umesh from the other end.

It was in the second session of the day when bowlers brought India back into the match by dismissing the Windies batsmen at regular intervals.

 

India have now won seven consecutive Test series against Windies, dating back to October 2002. Also, India has won 26 of their 39 international matches so far in 2018.

It might be dream start for the debutant Prithvi Shaw, who became the Player of the series. And Umesh Yadav was chosen as the Man of the Match.
