India vs South Africa: Virat Kohli to lead 'men in blue'; KL Rahul misses out in ODI team announced by BCCI

India vs South Africa

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on 23rd December has announced team for the South African tour. For this, the meeting of the All India Senior Selection Committee was held in Mumbai on Saturday. Virat Kohli will take charge of the 6-match ODI team against the Proteas team. Whereas, Rohit Sharma will be the vice-captain.

The BCCI's selection committee has announced a 17-member team for this tour. Mohammed Shami and Shardul Thakur has been given place in the team. On the tour of South Africa, India will play a total of 6 ODIs, which will be held from February 1 to 16. The first match will be played in Durban.


Senior spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have once again been ignored by the selectors who have shown confidence in the left-arm spinner Akshar Patel with the young trio of spin bowlers, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav.
