India vs Australia first T20: In a major shock, Aussie captain sent back home; here is why

After embarrassing themselves in 5 match One Day International series against India, Steve Smith's boys were ready to challenge Virat Kohli's boys in three match T 20 international. But now in a major shock for the Aussie team and fans, the Australian skipper Steve Smith has returned home.

Now in place of Smith, Aussie opener David Warner will take charge of the men-in-yellow in three match T20 series against host. The T20 series is starting today in Ranchi. All-rounder Marcus Stoinis will replace Australian skipper for the upcoming T 20 series.

Steven Smith has been ruled out because of a shoulder injury. While talking about Smith's injury Australian team doctor Richard Saw said, “He has had an MRI scan which has excluded serious injury, but we believe the best course of action is for him to not continue to aggravate his shoulder and allow it to recover.”

“He will have further investigation upon his return to Australia but we remain confident he will be available for the start of the Sheffield Shield season,” the doctor further added.

Dismissal of Steve Smith from the upcoming series will do no good for the Kangaroo team, as the current Australian team is already considered as one of the weakest teams in the history of Australian cricket.
