In first Test match between India and Sri Lanka, right-arm medium-fast bowler, Suranga Lakmal stormed the day by taking 3 wickets in six overs against Virat Kohli-led team India. Lakmal humiliating attack meant that Indian team could not recover the next day and the team lost their five wickets for 50 runs. Few knows that the fast bowler who has dominated this game has once been shot on his foot.

Lakmal, born on March 10, 1987 in Matara, Sri Lanka, started his international career against India in 2009. In 2009, when Sri Lankan team was on a tour of Pakistan, the terrorists attacked the team's bus. During this attack, bullets shot in the leg of Lakmal. Although his foot surgery has been done but no pellet could be removed. But his love towards game keeps him intact with cricket.

The reason behind not taking out the bullet left overs is that he was told by doctors that the after operation, his body would take long time to recover and therefore, he further can not play cricket for a long time.
