Ind vs Aus: Virat Kohli overtake AB de Villiers and MS Dhoni to achieve this feat

The 'run machine' Virat Kohli who is popularly known for breaking records has now smashed one more record to become the fastest ODI skipper to score 2000 runs.

The Indian skipper scores 2000 runs just in 36 innings while AB de Villiers has taken 41 innings to achieve the same feat. Kohli completed his 2000 runs as a captain while playing against Australia in the 4th ODI match of the 5 ODI series at M. Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore.

Earlier, Australian skipper Steve Smith won the toss and chose to bat. Aussie team scores a total sum 335 runs in 50 overs with the help of opener David Warner's 14th ODI century. While chasing the score Indian opener Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane give a strong opening to India. Rahane scored 53 runs and created a partisanship of 106 runs with Rohit for the first wicket. After Rahane Kohli took charge of Indian inning along with Mr. Sharma. Rohit too followed Ajinkya to the pavilion after scoring 65 runs.

Soon after Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli was sent back at the individual score of 21 runs.
