MS Dhoni’s army insignia controversy has attracted another commentator in Pakistan minister of science and technology, Fawad Hussain. MS Dhoni was surrounded by controversy after he sported Indian Army Para forces insignia on his gloves during India’s first clash against South Africa.

Fawad Hussain took to his Twitter handle to comment on the issue as he wrote, “Dhoni is in England to play cricket not to for MahaBharta, what an idiotic debate in Indian Media,a section of Indian media is so obsessed with War they should be sent to Syria, Afghanistan Or Rawanda as mercenaries.... #Idiots.”

A Twitter user replied to Fawad Hussain’s post and said, “Here is your team offering namaz on ground, according to ICC codes anything related to religious practise is not allowed. MS Dhoni was siply wearing the badge of paras on his gloves. M S Dhoni is Leitunent Colonel with TA. What’s the fuss Mr. Chaudhary? Calm down.”

According to ICC clothing rules and regulations, it does not permit the display of messages that relate to political, religious or racial activities or causes during an international match.

The ICC is still looking at the issue and if reports are to be believed it is very unlikely that the international cricketing body will change its stance.
