The ICC has rejected BCCI’s request to re-examine the objection to MS Dhoni’s wicket keeping gloves. Dhoni had sported an army emblem on his wicket keeping gloves which was spotted during the match against South Africa in the World Cup 2019.

As soon as the International Cricket Council issued a statement, Indian fans were left enraged. The ICC requested the BCCI to ask Dhoni to remove the army crest from his gloves.

The BCCI wrote to the ICC seeking permission to let Dhoni wear those gloves in India’s next match against the Aussies at the Oval. However, that request has been rejected by the ICC.

The ICC’s response to BCCI’s letter explianed how Dhoni’s act had breached the rules.
