A Pakistani fan has filed a petition in court seeking a ban on Pakistan cricket team after their defeat to India in World Cup 2019. The petitioner has also demanded that the entire selection committee along with its chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq be dissolved. The petitioner belongs to Pakistan's Gujranwala and was angry after his favorite team lost against arch-rival India.

Pakistan faced a lot of criticism after they lost against India. Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed faced verbal abuses from fans after the match as they called him fat and asked him to quit captaincy. A video of Pakistani fan went viral after the match where he can be seen ranting about his team having junk food a day before the much-anticipated clash.

Pakistan lost against India by 89 runs (DLS) method as rain affected the match. Indian opener Rohit Sharma was the star of the show as he hit his 24th ODI century and second of this World Cup. Sharma scored 140 runs off 113 balls to become the first Indian opener to hit a hundred against Pakistan in World Cup.

India has never lost a World Cup match to Pakistan and Virat Kohli-led team made sure that they keep the 27-year old record intact.
