India completed a hat-trick of the under-19 Asia Cup after beating Sri Lanka in Colombo on Friday. Skipper Abhishek Sharma (29 runs and 4/37) gave an impressive all-round performance. India, coached by Rahul Dravid, defeated the hosts by 34 runs in the final.

India had also won the ACC Under-19 in UAE (2014) and Malaysia (2012).

After electing to bat first, Himanshu Rana and Shubman Gill scored fifties to help India reach 273/8. The duo scored 88 runs for the second wicket, after Rana gave India a good opening with partner Prithvi Shaw (39). Shaw hit six boundaries in 36 balls while Rana smashed a six and six fours to top the scoring list with 79 off 71 balls.

The Sri Lankan team was bowled out for 239 in 48.4 overs (Kelly 62, Mendis 53; Sharma 4/37).
