Hardik Pandya takes part in practice session with Indian team at Wankhede Stadium

Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya, who is still recuperating from a back injury, engaged in a practice session with the Indian team at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Monday.

The 26-year-old was withdrawn from India A squad touring New Zealand at the eleventh hour as he is yet to recover fully from back injury.


Hardik Pandya was first seen doing the target practice of hitting the stumps together with captain Virat Kohli and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah.

There after, he bowled in the nets for a short while under the watch of bowling coach Bharat Arun.

Previously, Hardik Pandya had undergone a back surgery in London and since that he has been undergoing recuperation under the watch of his trainer Rajnikanth in Mumbai.

In the meanwhile, regardless of being an optional practice, nearly all members of the team were witnessed at the practice session, KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan, who are in consideration for the spot of the second opener batted in the nets.
