Indian cricketer Hanuma Vihari became the fifth Indian to score a century and a half-century in the same innings batting at number 6 or lower. Hanuma Vihari scored 111 runs in the first innings of the second Test match against West Indies and scored 53 not out in the second innings. Vihari became only the first Indian cricketer after Sachin Tendulkar to achieve the feat.

Sachin Tendulkar achieved the feat against England when he scored 68 and 119 not out batting at number 6. Polly Umrigar was the first Indian to hit a century and a half-century in the same Test match against West Indies in 1962.

Hanuma Vihari notched up at 111 run partnership along with Ajinkya Rahane to help India score 168 runs in the second innings. West Indies needed 468 runs to win after India’s second innings ended. The host lost 2 wickets for 45 runs at the end of Day 3.

India will look to finish the game on Day 4 and win the Test series by 2-0. India outclassed West Indies on their recent tour as they won both T20I and ODI series without losing a single game.
