It has been 7 years of winning 2011 World Cup but the moment of winning is still running in the nerves of Indian players. Then Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has revealed one of the emotional moment from the memorable match.

Mahi, referring to that memorable night of April 2, 2011, revealed that after the final match, he could not even stop his tears.

The match that was played at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium stunned every Indian player when Dhoni hit the triumphant shot.


It was Dhoni who created such magic that every Indian wants to remember in his life. Team India won the World Cup almost after 28 years later.

Every cricketer wearing a blue jersey of India had tears in his eyes when Dhoni had made India a world champion by his winning shot.

After seven years, Dhoni has revealed a big disclosure saying that after winning the shot, he had tears in his eyes and that was tears of joy.

In the book written by senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai, Dhoni said, “Yes, I cried, but the cameras didn’t catch it. I was naturally excited but held back the emotions till a tearful Harbhajan hugged me. That’s when I got teary-eyed but kept my head down so no one would see me crying,”
