CPL2018: Kieron Pollard hits first maiden ton and beats the world record of Virat Kohli and Shahid Afridi

WestIndies batsman Kieron Pollard hits his maiden Twenty20 century as St Lucia Stars register a 38-run victory over Barbados Tridents.It was his second-fastest ton in the history of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) behind Andre Russell's match-winning 121* last week in the same Tallawahs-Knight Riders clash.

As Pollard hit his maiden T20 ton and breaks the world record of Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Shahid Afridi in most number of innings played. Virat Kohli took 181 innings to his maiden ton in his T20 career while Pakistan former skipper Shahid Afridi took 222 innings. Kieron Pollard took 384 innings to hit his first maiden ton.


St. Lucia Stars managed to score 226-6 in the limited over format against the Barbados Tridents to record the highest total in CPL history. Pollard's stunning ton snap a 15-game losing streak and registered their first win in the Caribbean Premier League.

Kieron Pollard smashed 104 runs from 54 balls at the in St Lucia. In return, Tridents could only manage 188/6.
