India will tour to West Indies in the start of August. India will play a three-match T20I and ODI series in the Caribbean before playing a two-match Test series. The Test series will be part of the inaugural ICC Test Championship that will start from August 1 during the Ashes.

West Indies cricket board has announced their squad for the ODI series and some big names like Chris Gayle are in the side. Chris Gayle has played 298 ODI matches and has 10,393 runs to his name. He is the second-highest run-scorer for West Indies in ODI cricket after Brian Lara.

Gayle is just 13 runs away from breaking Lara’s record of 10,405 runs. Gayle had earlier said that he will retire from international cricket after the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup but something changed his mind midway and he made himself available for the India series.

Here is the 14-member squad announced by the West Indies cricket board.

Jason Holder (Captain), Chris Gayle, Shai Hope, Evin Lewis, Nicholas Pooran, Roston Chase, Fabian Allen, John Campbell, Sheldon Cottrell, Oshane Thomas, Kemar Roach, Keemo Paul, Shimron Hetmyer, Carlos Brathwaite
