Asia Cup 2018: BCCI announced the Indian squad; Virat Kohli replaced by this player

BCCI has announced the Indian squad for the 2018 Asia Cup which is starting from September 15 and final game of Asia Cup to be played on September 28. Asia Cup features Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan and a qualifier.

In this Asia Cup Rohit Sharma will lead the side while Khaleel Ahmed received his maiden India call-up. Indian young star Rishabh Pant failed to make a cut as selectors decided to stick with MS Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik.Ambati Rayudu and Kedar Jadhav made a superb comeback.


Rohit Sharma's Juggernaut play their first match on September 18, just a week after the last day of fith Test against England in England.

This time Asia Cup will have limited overs specialists in the form of Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav available in full fitness as the players haven't been a part of all formats in the ongoing England tour.

Rohit Sharma(C), Shikhar Dhawan (VC), KL Rahul, AT Rayudu, Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav, MS Dhoni, Dinesh Kartik, Kuldip Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Y Chahal, Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumra, Shardul Thakur and Khaleel Ahmed
