The rumours of a rift between India’s two superstar batsmen Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were doing rounds on various media reports. It was being speculated that everything is not all-right between the Indian captain and the vice-captain. The tradition is that Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri usually address the media before leaving for a series.
But if reports are to be believed, Virat Kohli will not address the press conference before leaving for the United States of America. The Indian team will play against West Indies in the Caribbean from August 3 and Virat Kohli will lead the team in all three formats.
“There will be no pre-departure press conference by the Indian team leaving for the West Indies. There is no window for a press conference ahead of the departure. We tried but it was not possible,” a BCCI source told ANI.
The Indian team will play a three-match T20 and ODI series before playing a two-match Test series. Many youngsters are included in the team and some of them have got a recall.
