Indian skipper Virat Kohli is in England for 2019 World Cup and recently posted a picture with Tottenham Hotspur star player Harry Kane at the Lords cricket ground. England football team captain was quick to post a picture with Kohli on his Instagram account. Kane wrote, “After a few tweets in the last couple of years good to finally meet @imVkohli. A great guy and a brilliant sportsman.”
Kohli re-shared Harry Kane’s post from his official Twitter handle and wrote, “It was a pleasure meeting you @HKane and all the best for the finals.” Kohli wished him luck for UEFA Champions League finals where Tottenham will play Liverpool FC. It has been a long time since two English teams will play in the Champions League finals.
Bollywood actor and Chelsea fan Abhishek Bachchan was quick to notice and took a friendly dig at Kohli as he posted an old picture of the Indian captain posing with the blue jersey. Chelsea and Tottenham are rival clubs and the picture did not go down well with junior Bachchan.
Virat Kohli and his men are playing a warm-up match against New Zealand today and will play one more match against Bangladesh on May 28 before starting their World Cup campaign against South Africa on June 5.
