Disney's The Jungle Book continues to dominate the Indian Box-Office as the film races towards the Rs 100 crore mark. Despite facing competition from Shah Rukh Khan's Fan on its second Friday, the film collected Rs 8.02 crore taking the eight-day total to Rs 82.65 crore.

Like Fan, even The Jungle Book benefitted from the Ram Navami holiday in many parts of India and the best collections came in from the Mumbai circuit. Thursday (Day 7) saw better collections than the opening day. Mowgli and gang are sure to breach past the Rs 100 crore mark by the second weekend as big collections are expected on Sunday.

The Hindi dubbed version has contributed over 51 per cent towards the total collections while the English version stands at around 49 per cent.

The movie is carrying the best word of mouth among other films that released in 2016 and is set to emerge as not just the highest-grossing Hollywood film in India but is also set to go past the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2016, Airlift (Rs 127 crore approx).
