Still trending: The viral fake photos of Rani Mukerji's daughter, Adira Chopra
Two days ago, cute-as-a-button photos of a baby girl started circulating on social media. Rumour had it that the images were those of actress Rani Mukerji's daughter, Adira Chopra.
This was surprising by itself as neither Rani nor her husband, Aditya Chopra, have any social media account.
Fans of course couldn't contain their excitement at the first glimpse of the baby who was born on 9 December, 2015.
However, the excitement soon abated as YRF released an official statement claiming that Rani is not on social media and therefore everything circulated under her name is fake. It read:
"This is to inform you that Rani Mukerji is not on any social media platform and has never been. There are several fake accounts that keep cropping up. We would like to request you to not pay any heed to them or the content they put up as it is all fake."
Everything should have come to an end with this statement. But, it's still trending. Go figure!
