The Ram Madhvani directorial performed best at Delhi, Bangalore and Chandigarh, followed by Mumbai. The single screens at the metros also came into picture on Sunday, which resulted in a reasonable jump.

Day-wise Box Office collection for Neerja:

  • Day 1 (19 February): Rs 4.70 crore
  • Day 2 (20 February): Rs 7.60 crore
  • Day 3 (21 February): Rs 9.71 crore
  • Total: Rs 22.01 crore

The film released on 700 screens and recorded an average occupancy of over 70 per cent through the weekend. The film is sure to recover its budget of Rs 21 crore from the theatrical revenue alone - and is well on its way to becoming Bollywood's second super hit of the year after Akshay Kumar's Airlift.
