Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan Twitter Review: Ayushmann Khurrana starrer gets thumbs up; Twitterati call it ‘paisa vasool’
Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar starrer Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan hit the theatres today. The film which clashed alongside Vicky Kaushal’s Bhoot: The Haunted Ship is gearing immense applaud both from critic and audience. Fans who caught first-day first show have flooded Twitter with praise for Ayushmann and the film.
The film which portrays the ordeal of homosexuals and same-sex marriage is a spin-off 2017’s Shubh Mangal Saavdhan starring Ayushmann and Bhumi Pednekar. Helmed by Hitesh Kewalya the film stars Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao, Pankhuri Awasthy, Neeraj Singh, Manurishi Chaddha among others. Ayushmann in an interview with Etimes revealed that he wants to normalise the same-sex relationship. He said, “This was important for the film because we have to normalise it. I recently saw two boys kissing in a mall and then I realised, we are ready for it. We normally don't see PDA between same-sex couples but that happens abroad. That will happen in India also. It's about basic human rights. People think that it is unnatural, abnormal because they are wired like that. So, acceptance is important.”
