Shah Rukh Khan will essay the character of a bootlegger from Gujarat in his upcoming action film, Raees. The film, which hits the big screen on 26 January, 2017, will see acclaimed actor, Narendra Jha essay the character of SRK's godfather.

In an interview with Catch, Narendra Jha without divulging the details of his character in the film, confirmed that it is indeed a negative role.

"I am doing the negative role in Raees, however I cannot speak about it right now. To talk about the character and plot right now would not be ethical on my part. Please wait for 26 January, 2017, to know what the film is all about," said Jha.

The actor, who won a lot of acclaim for his performance in Haider, believes Shah Rukh Khan is a fatherly figure who takes care of every one of the sets. He said,

"Shah Rukh Khan is such a great guy to work with that I was literally floored by his behaviour. To get the grace of God, you have to become Shah Rukh Khan. He is a fatherly figure who takes care of everything on the sets. He is a very sensitive and a down to earth human being."

Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Raees also stars Pakistani actress Mahira Khan in lead.
