When Shah Rukh Khan interacted with the media on Eid, he explained that the clash between the release dates of Raees and Kaabil might be averted.
King Khan also revealed that he will accompany his producers, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar when they meet Rakesh Roshan to discuss the solo release on 26 January 2016. Team Raees had a two-hour long meeting with Rakesh Roshan last night at his residence in Juhu; however, they failed to reach a valid conclusion.
Shah Rukh Khan tweeted about his meeting with Rakesh Roshan. He has not divulged any details about their meeting.
Met friend/mentor/family after many a days.Mr. R.Roshan reminded me…it’s not important to do 2 much, it’s important to get 1 right. Thx sir.— Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) July 18, 2016
In the past, Rakesh Roshan was quoted saying that since they were the first to book the 26 January 2017 release slot, they would not give it away to any other film. Knowing the kind of relation he and his son Hrithik Roshan share with SRK, it would not be surprising if the producer lets go the Republic Day weekend for Raees.
