Sultan female lead announced: Anushka Sharma paired opposite Salman Khan

The long-running rumours about the female lead of YRF's Sultan directed by Ali Abbas Zafar finally come to an end. As usual, YRF surprised everyone by announcing Anushka Sharma as the female lead of the much-anticipated film starring Salman Khan.

After working with Aamir Khan in PK and Shah Rukh Khan in Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Anushka Sharma is now all set to work with the third Khan i.e. Salman Khan in YRF's Sultan. A few weeks back, Catch exclusively interacted with director Ali Abbas Zafar who revealed that the female lead of Sultan will be announced by January end.

Currently, Salman Khan is shooting for the action schedule of the film in Mumbai. After the second schedule, the team will shoot for the romantic sequences following which they are expected to move for the final shooting schedule in China.

In Sultan, Salman Khan will be seen essaying the character of three times Haryanvi State Champion, Sultan Ali Khan.
