The shooting of Rustom is finally set to wrap up by mid-April. The film, which stars Akshay Kumar, Illeana D'Cruz and Esha Gupta went on floors in December 2015 and is slated to release on 12 August, 2016.
Akshay Kumar, who is currently busy shooting for an action packed schedule of Robot 2.0 in Delhi, will soon fly to London for a 15-day Rustom schedule.
The film, which marks the debut of director Tinu Suresh Desai, is a romantic thriller based on the infamous Nanavati Murder Case which rocked Mumbai (then Bombay) in 1959.
Rustom is a period drama set in the 1960s. In the film, Akshay Kumar is essaying the character of a Navy Officer for the first time in his career. Rustom will clash with Hrithik Roshan's Mohenjo Daro at the Box Office this Independence Day.
