Bajirao Mastani, and Dilwale look to woo Tamil and Telugu audiences

This year's blockbuster Diwali release, Salman Khan's family drama Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, released in three languages - Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Taking a cue from PRDP, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has decided to release his upcoming film Bajirao Mastani in Tamil and Telugu.

The Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions of the Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra starrer, Bajirao Mastani, will help Bhansali reach out to a wider audience - and hopefully set the cash registers ringing.

Though the Tamil and Telugu dubbed version of Salman Khan's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo had a dismissal run, films like Dhoom 3 and Chennai Express found success down south.

It will be interesting to see how the dubbed version Bajirao Mastani - based on Maratha general Peshwa Baji Rao - fares at the box office.

The film is set to go head-to-head with Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale on 18 December. The Rohit Shetty directorial, which also stars Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kirti Sanon, will also release in Tamil and Telugu.
