After CBFC apparently asked to have 48 cuts in Nawaz’s Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, the actor is upset

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s upcoming film Babumoshai Bandhookbaaz has been in news since its making; after Chintrangada Singh walked out of the film Bidita Bag replaced her. The film’s trailer has received positive response but it was recently reported that Censor Board of Film Certification has asked the makers to have 48 cuts in the film to get A certificate. Nawaz who plays a sharp shooter in the film was recently asked about it in a media interaction, he said that he will have to talk to his director about details but it is disappointing as they were getting an A certificate and still were asked to have many cuts. If the makers agreed to cut those portions out of the film then it will become a documentary.

Meanwhile the Indian Film and Television Director Association have called out a press conference to support film’s director Kushan Nandy and producer Kiran Shroff. Kiran has claimed that she was abused by the members of the committee and all the directors are going to express their protest against this. They will also be supporting them for their fight against the Board.

Kushan and Kiran will be approaching Film Certification Appellate Tribunal for revisions in cut. The film is set to release this month.
