MS Dhoni Biopic Box Office: Beats Fan and Housefull 3 in opening weekend!
MS Dhoni: The Untold Story had a phenomenal opening weekend at the Box Office. The film raked in Rs 24.10 crore on Sunday, taking the weekend total to Rs 66 crore.
The film starring Sushant Singh Rajput fared well across the country, especially at Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi and East Punjab. The trend after the opening day so far has been very encouraging with a good hold on Saturday followed by a reasonable jump in collections on Sunday.
Day Wise Box Office:
- Friday: Rs 21.30 crore
- Saturday: Rs 20.60 crore (4.7% drop)
- Sunday: Rs 24.10 crore (13.41% growth)
- Total: Rs 66 crore
The word of mouth surrounding the film is positive till now, however the hold in collections on Monday will give an idea about where the film is heading. The movie has recorded the second biggest opening weekend for the year surpassing the likes of Fan and Housefull 3.

- Sultan: Rs 107 crore
- MS Dhoni: Rs 66 crore
- Housefull 3: Rs 53.31 crore
- Fan: Rs 52.35 crore
The movie is directed by Neeraj Pandey and also stars Disha Patani and Kiara Advani in lead roles.
