Irrfan Khan's Madaari postponed to 22 July due to Great Grand Masti

Initially slated to release on 15 July, 2016, the release date of Irrfan Khan's Madaari has now been pushed to 22 July, 2016, following Ekta Kapoor's request to let their film, Great Grand Masti come solo on the said Friday.

Following the online leak, the makers of Great Grand Masti advanced the release date of the film by a week, which resulted in a clash with Madaari. The producer of Madaari, Vashu Bhagnani said,

"The industry is one big family and we all operate for and with each other. Madaari will now hit theatres on 22 July, while Great Grand Masti will come on 15 July."

The director of Great Grand Masti, Indra Kumar too was touched by the gesture. He said,

"We're touched by Vashuji's gesture of moving his film ahead by a week on our request. The industry continues to stand thick as one body owing to such veteran producers."

Directed by Nishikant Kamat, Madaari also stars Jimmy Shergill in the lead.
