Dear Zindagi: Shah Rukh Khan - Alia Bhatt film is about discovering joys of an imperfect life

The makers of Dear Zindagi have opted for a new marketing strategy - instead of a theatrical trailer they will unveil four teasers ahead of the film's release.

While director Gauri Shinde already had a theatrical trailer in place, it was Shah Rukh Khan who suggested the teaser concept to generate curiosity. The first of the four teasers will be out today across the digital platform.

In the film, Alia Bhatt will essay the character of a budding short film-maker whereas Shah Rukh Khan will be seen as a psychiatrist who mentors the female lead.

"The film is all about discovering the joys of an imperfect life," said Gauri Shinde, while interacting with a leading daily.

Actress Alia Bhatt says, "Dear Zindagi is like a slice of everyday life. You smile, you laugh, cry and live, just like you would do on a regular day."

Also starring Aditya Roy Kapoor, Kunal Kapoor, Angad Bedi and Ali Zafar in pivotal role, Dear Zindagi releases on 25 November, 2016.
