Box office report: Poster Boys does better than Daddy

Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Shreyas Talpade’s Poster Boys did decent business at box office. The footfalls for the film increased on the weekend even though it received average reviews and started on a slow note. The film managed to collect Rs. 7.25 crore on the first weekend. It is a remake of Marathi film and is directed by Shreyas Talpade.

Arjun Rampal’s film Daddy, which was directed by Ashim Ahluwalia, too saw less occupancy on first days of its release. The film has not done too well although Arjun received good feedback for his portrayal don Arun Gawali.The film earned Rs. 4.60 crore on the opening weekend. This film was produced by Arjun.

Last week’s releases Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Ileana D’ Cruz and Esha Gupta starrer Baadshaho is doing good business and within a week the film has earned Rs. 64.84 crore so far. On the other hand Shubh Mangal Savdhan, which featured Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar too has been performing well and collected Rs. 31.86 crore so far.

This week Kangana Ranaut’s Simran will release with Farhan Akhtar and Diana Penty’s Lucknow Central and Rishi Kapoor, Paresh Rawal’s Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi.
