Box office collection: Varun Dhawan Judwaa 2 performs well in second week
Varun Dhawan’s Judwaa 2 released two weeks ago on extended holiday weekend. The film managed to enter the Rs. 100 crore club last week and is still doing well at box office. In the second week the film has managed to collect Rs. 127.56 crore and has been declared a superhit. The remake of Salman Khan Starrer Judwaa is directed by David Dhawan and stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu.
Judwaa 2 opened well even though it got average reviews. Over the past one week it has been performing better because of lack of competition at box office. Last week , Saif Ali Khan’s Chef released along with Aksar 2 ,which starred Zareen Khan, Abhinav Shukla and Gautam Rode and Raai Laxmi’ Julie 2. All three films did not do well at box office. Saif’s film got mixed reviews and could not get decent opening as well. Within a week of it’s released the collection reduced. This week there has been no big release apart from Anupam Kher’s Ranchi Diaries. So it is expected that Judwaa 2 will continue to do well till next week.
