With Neeraj Pandey's Crack, Akshay Kumar books third Independence Day weekend in a row
In what can be deemed as a surprise to his fans, Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to announce his next collaboration with filmmaker Neeraj Pandey. Titled Crack, the film is set to release during the Independence Day weekend next year.
This is the third time Akshay will be taking over the coveted Independence Day weekend with Brothers in 2015 and Rustom in 2016. Also, this is the fourth time that Akshay Kumar is collaborating with Pandey for a film. Earlier, the filmmaker had directed Akshay in Special 26 and Baby and produced the star's latest release -- Rustom.

This is a big news for the industry considering that all big festive weekends are associated with Bollywood superstars; Salman Khan has claimed the Eid spot, Shah Rukh Khan has pinned down the Diwali slot and Aamir Khan called dibs on Christmas.
