25 Years of Saajan: Will sequel to this love story star Salman and Sanjay Dutt?

It has been 25 years since the release of Saajan but the magic still lives on. The film, which marked the beginning of Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt's friendship, is remembered for its music, script, and emotional content.

The film has plenty of chart-busting hits which are still popular like Dekha Hai Pehli Baar, Tum Se Milne Ki Tamanna Hain, Bahut Pyar Karte Hain, Tu Shayar Hain, and Jiye to Jiye Kaise.

While fans are celebrating 25 years of the film's release, media reports suggest that the director Lawrence D'Souza is planning a sequel to the 1991 cult classic. In the original film, Sanjay Dutt played an orphan who is befriended by wealthy Salman Khan during his childhood.

The film was essentially a love triangle wherein both characters fall for the same girl, Madhuri Dixit. Though star-cast of the film is not yet finalised, it is speculated the film will star two gen-next superstars.

Saajan 2 is expected to go on floors in Kashmir.
