Stepson stitches lips of 65-year-old man with rope, ties him to railway track

An elderly man, aged 65, was set free by the Jharkhand Police after he was found fastened to a railway track with his lips stitched together using a rope. The man held his stepson responsible for stitching is lips and tying him to a train track close to Sigsigi cabin.

The appalling incident occurred at Palamu district’s Bhitihara village on Wednesday.

The 65-year-old man, identified as Bhola Ram, told cops the he had gone to the toilet late Tuesday night when his stepson along with two others caught him and thrashed him up. Furthermore, the elderly victim said that after beating him up, three men sewed his lips using a rope, fastened his limbs and took him to a nearby train track.

The trio then tied him to railway sleepers.

Approximately at around 11 pm, Bhola Ram stated that he was tied to a railway track while the others left.

It was at daybreak when locals in the area saw a man fastened to the track. They stright away informed the police.

The elderly victim was saved from danger and was taken to a hospital where doctors treating him pulled out the rope used to stitch his lips together, police added.

According to reports, the victim’s second wife was also at the back of the incident. Bhola Ram tied the know for the second time in 2010 after his first wife died. There was problem in their marriage and the issue had gone before panchayat couple months back.

In the meantime, police stated that action will be taken against the accused. The case is being probed.
