In Pics: Sudarsan Pattnaik and Manas Sahoo pay tribute to Sridevi through their sand arts

After the legendary Bollywood actress Sridevi demise, yesterday took the nation by shock and heartfelt message and tribute poured in.

A special tribute to Sridevi came from Odisha's noted sand artist, Sudarsan Pattnaik made a heartfelt sand art for the legendary actress and wrote: "We will miss you". He took to Twitter and wrote: “Tribute to one of the brightest star of Indian cinema # Sridevi. My SandArt at Puri beach in Odisha with the message "We will miss you". #RIPSridevi.”

Sridevi was married to film producer Boney Kapoor in 1996. They had two daughters- Jahnvi and Khushi. Her last film Mom won her acclaim from fans and critics.  Sridevi will be seen last Shahrukh Khan's upcoming film Zero, where she plays herself in a small cameo.

Sand Art tribute by artist Manas Sahoo

A similar sand art was seen yesterday by the International Sand Artist Manas Sahoo who expressed condolence through his sand art at the sea-beach of Puri.He titled it“A Tearful Tribute to Sridevi”.  The Bollywood icon Sridevi, 54, passed away in Dubai on Saturday due to cardiac arrest. 

Sridevi was born in Tamil Nadu's Sivakasi in 1963. Her birth name was Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapa. At the age of 12, she started acting at the film. Her first film was Julie in 1975. She worked in over 300 Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada films. Some of her most popular films are Lamhe, Chaalbaaz, Sadma, Chandni, English Vinglish, Tohfa, among others.
