Thai MP caught on camera while looking at adult content on his phone in Parliament
A Thai MP was caught on camera while looking at porn on his phone during budget reading in Parliament on Thursday.
Instead of paying attention to budget reading, Thai MP Ronnathep Anuwat was busy looking at the explicit images on his smartphone for over 10 minutes during budget reading in Bangkok.
Anuwat even removed his face mask to look closely at the inappropriate photos on his phone.
Shocked reporters in the press gallery snapped Anuwat while watching the adult content in Parliament.
In the viral images, Thai MP was seen watching a young woman with her top off, while another was lying naked on a bed.
The embarrassed MP, who represents Chonburi province for the ruling military party Palang Pracharath, was confronted over the images and admitted looking at them.
He also gave an unusual response after he asked about watching them.
Anuwat told local media that he had received unsolicited messages on Line app from a woman who was ‘asking for help’. In a bizarre reply, the MP said that he was observing the environment surrounding the girl in the picture as he feared she was “being harassed by gangsters who had forced her to take the pictures.”
However, he realized after 10 minutes that the woman was asking for money and then he deleted all the content.
After the incident came to light, the government officials summons the politician for an explanation. However, no stringent actions were taken against him.
However, this is not the first time when a Thai MP is caught looking at porn.
In 2012, Bangkok MP Nat Bantadtan also spotted watching porn during a constitutional amendment. The politician had said that a friend had sent him the image and he deleted after realizing what it was.
