'Roasting marshmallow over volcanic vent would simply taste bad,' warns US geological body to a funny tweet

Apart from risk and danger update on Hawaii Kilauea volcanic eruption, the US geological survey took to Twitter to answer a funny query. One of the users asked if marshmallows can be roasted over hot volcanic vent, to which geological survey said, "No, you should not roast marshmallows over the scorching hot volcanic vents," They even said it would not be safe and advised people not to try to do so.

Hawaii's Big Island has been facing the wrath of red-hot rivers of lava and more than 2,000 have left their properties to save their lives. Dozens of homes have been destroyed.

USGC not only warned the user but also explained that the marshmallows would simply taste bad. The volcanic vent is emitting sulfur dioxide or hydrogen sulfide, both have unpleasant smells. Besides, the sulfuric acid from vog could create a “pretty spectacular reaction.
