UP: Rape accused kills his sister for a shocking reason
A murder mystery of an MBA student has been solved by police in Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh.
According to police, the 22-year-old man, who is accused in a gang-rape case of a Dalit girl, has been arrested for allegedly killing his sister.
Intention behind killing his own sister:
The accused man killed his sister intending to frame to rape the victim’s family and settle the case, timesnownews.com reported.
The accused man was identified as Ankit.
Reportedly, the 24-year-old woman was found murdered on Monday night. The accused man disfigured the face of the woman to conceal her identity.
According to police, the woman, who was also pursuing her MBA from a private college in Meerut, had injury marks inflicted by sharp-edged weapons.
The accused man brought her sister from Delhi on the pretext of seeking help in settling a gang rape case, they said. After killing his sister, Ankit hid the blood-stained clothes of his sister in the bushes.
Police recovered the victim’s body from the plot under the limit of Amroha Dehat police station.
The body of the woman was identified based on her ID card lying nearby.
An FIR was registered by her uncle. Police scanned the CCTVs installed in the area and found that the duo going towards the crime spot.
The accused was arrested late on Tuesday night, a report in Indian Express quoted Amroha SP Suniti as saying.
According to police, the accused has confessed to murdering his sister. The cops have also recovered the clothes of the victim.
The now-deceased woman was working in Noida for the last four years and Ankit used to visit her frequently.
Earlier in January, Ankit and his cousins were booked in connection with the gang rape of a Dalit girl after her police statement.
During the investigation, Amroha police found that the accused wanted to frame a Dalit girl’s family for the murder of his sister so that he could save himself in the rape case.
