UP: Fraudsters start living luxurious life after cloning ATM cards and robbing others

Uttar Pradesh Police have nabbed four fraudsters who were living a luxurious life for two years by doing criminal offenses.

The four men were working with each other to operate their inter-state card cloning racket from 2016 to 2018.


According to media reports, these conmen had targeted people from Delhi, Maharashtra, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh. Reportedly, they have cloned over 600 ATM cards within two years.

With this act, they have built houses and bought some luxurious cars. However, their card cloning busted by Pratapgarh Police on Tuesday. All of the accused have been nabbed by the police.

The four men identified as-Nem Chandra Saroj, Kapil Verma, Rajendra Singh alias Kalloo Don and Krishnaveer Singh Yadav.

Police have seized an ATM cloning machine, RFID device, ATM cards, and gadgets from the fraudsters.

According to the police, the accused withdrew Rs 20,000- Rs 25,000 from each ATM card they cloned.

The SP Pratapgarh, Abhishek Singh told The Times of India, “Nem Chandra and Rajendra have built houses in their villages with the ill-gotten money. Kapil Verma not only constructed a house but also purchased a costly car.”

During the investigation, it was found that they were likely to join some other youths in their racket in a bid to make easy money.

After arresting the main accused, police have also made a list of fraudsters from Patuliki, Badni, Sariyapur and other areas that fall near Jethwara and Mandhata, to track down other ATM card cloners.
