Odisha: Sex racket busted in Baripada, 32 detained

The Mayurbhanj Police On Saturday busted a sex racket being operated at several lodges in Baripada town of Mayurbhanj district during multiple raids in the region.

The cops have also detained 32 persons, including 13 couples and two employees of two Lodges, reported Pragativadi.


According to reports, police today conducted raids in the area. During the raid, the Town police busted the sex racket.

Women involved in the 'trade' have been rescued.

Besides, the police personnel has also seized objectionable items from the spot.

Police have registered a case in this connection and launched a detailed investigation into the incident.

On December 1, a sex racket was busted in Odisha's Capital city, Bhubaneswar.

The Commissionerate Police had busted a sex racket being operated from a hotel at AIIMS Nagar under Khandagiri police limits and rescued six girls engaged in flesh trade.
