No Quick Judgements: Ratan Tata opposes online hate, bullying

Social media has given a platform to showcase one’s talent or to share your opinion with others. But, people have used it inappropriately by spreading hatred or bullying others. Recently, industrialist Ratan Tata has also become vocal on such things going on the online platform.

He shared an important message with his followers. The industrialist urged people to stop online bullying and hatred. Rather, he asked people to support each other.


Taking to Instagram, Ratan Tata shared a long piece of note with his followers.

He wrote, “This year has been full of changes for everyone, on some level or the other. I see online community being hurtful to each other, bringing each other down, harshly and with quick judgements (sic)."

Tata continued, “I believe this year especially calls for us to be unified and helpful and it is not the time to pull each other down. More of sensitivity towards each other, more of kindness and more of understanding and patience that what one sees today (sic)."

He concluded the post by saying, “My presence online is limited, but I truly hope it will evolve into a place of empathy and support for everyone, no matter what your cause, rather than hate and bullying (sic).”
