MP Horror: Four men force 20-year-old woman to drink liquor; gang-rape her at farm house

In yet another shocking crime case against a woman reported in Madhya Pradesh’s Shaadol district.

A 20-year-old woman was gang-raped allegedly by four persons, including a BJP functionary, police said on Sunday.


However, the saffron party released the statement that the accused office-bearer had been removed from its primary membership, news agency PTI report said.

Woman forced to drink liquor

According to reports, the victim was abducted in a four-wheeler, and then she was forced to drink liquor in a farmhouse in the Gadaghat area under Jaitpur police station limits. Then, she was gang-raped by four men on February 18 and 19, said Shahdol Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mukesh Vaish.

The four accused dumped the woman in front of her house on February 20, Vaish added.

Soon after news broke out that the name of BJP Jaitpur Mandal chief Vijay Tripathi figured in the FIR as one of the accused, the BJP issued a release informing that he had been thrown out of the party. Shahdol district BJP president Kamal Pratap Singh has sacked Vijay Tripathi from Jaitpur Mandal president's post, and primary membership of the party after his name figured in the gang-rape case, the release said.

"The BJP has no place for such workers involved in heinous crimes. The BJP strongly deplores such a character and crime. Thus, taking disciplinary action, it sacks Vijay Tripathi from the post of Jaitpur BJP president and membership," the statement further read. Efforts are underway to nab the four accused, said the Additional SP.

According to The New Indian Express, the victim alleged that she was forcibly taken in a car two days back by the school teacher and his aides to another village. She further said that they forced her to consume liquor and locked her in a room, where the primary school teacher raped her with the help of his two aides.

Police have registered a case of gang-rape in the matter. The cops are making efforts to nab the absconding accused. During the investigation, it was revealed that the girl was having a friendship with the schoolmaster and regularly seen with him, The New Indian Express report claimed.

On the other hand, when the name of a BJP Jaitpur mandal chief Vijay Tripathi emerged in the case, he had been thrown out of the party.

Shahdol district BJP president Kamal Pratap Singh has sacked Vijay Tripathi from the Jaitpur Mandal president’s post for his involvement in the heinous crime.

BJP released a statement that reads, “The BJP has no place for such workers involved in heinous crimes. The BJP strongly deplores such a character and crime. Thus, taking disciplinary action, it sacks Vijay Tripathi from the post of Jaitpur BJP president and membership.”

Meanwhile, efforts are being made to nab the four accused, said the Additional SP.
