Man brutally kills 32-year-old wife with rod after heated argument

A man allegedly bludgeoned his wife to death and fled from their residence to evade arrest.

The incident took place in the Pisadevi road area on the outskirts of Aurangabad on the night intervening Tuesday and Wednesday.


The deceased woman was identified as Kavita Siddhesh Trivedi.

According to timesnownews.com reports, the man allegedly hit the woman with a road and smashed her face and head with a stone after their two had an argument over some issue.

The incident came to light when their children- aged 3 and 6 started crying loudly and their neighbours heard the voice, peeped into the house from the window. They left shocked after seeing Kavita lying soaked in blood, said police.

According to The Times of India report, the children told police that their father latched the door from the outside and escaped after hitting the mother.

After being alerted about the incident, police sent the body of the woman to Government Medical College and Hospital for a post-mortem.

After an autopsy, the woman’s body was handed over to her parents.

Probe launched into the case:

Aurangabad rural police on Wednesday formed four teams to investigate the case and also to nab the accused Siddesh.

“We are investigating the case and it is too early to say anything before the prime suspect is interrogated,” said police.

Based on the complaint filed by the woman’s father, Jagdish Awasthi, a murder case has been filed against Siddesh, who is an employee of an Agricultural Produce Market Committee.

The children of the couple have been handed over to their maternal grandparents, who hail from Nashik.
