As per the reports, the incident took place around 12:30 pm when the cab was stopped by police at PNB More.

Reportedly, the vehicle was coming from the CA Block side when the officer on duty stopped the car and question people sitting inside the car about their traveling. The accused woman then came out of the car and rushed towards a policeman and tried to bite him.

The accused woman and her friend came to Salt Lake from Ballygunge and claimed that they were going to purchase medicines but failed to show any prescription, a police officer said.

"We never spoke to the woman but she came out of the vehicle and attacked one of our officers, a police official said.

The police officer also alleged that the woman even drew blood from an old wound she had and smeared it across the police officer’s shirt and threatening to frame him from injuring her.

In the viral video, the woman can be heard screaming that there is no one to take of her care as she lives alone.

Later, police arrested the woman for violating the lockdown rules and also for assaulting a police servant on duty, a senior officer of the Bidhannagar City Police said.

While the man who is driving the vehicle also got arrested for violating the total safety restriction, the officer added.
