If weddings are a big deal, this mass marriage was a massive affair

A wedding day is big day in the life of anyone. A day to be cherished as you begin your new life together as a couple. On 23 November, social worker Sabira Sikwani organised a massive wedding day -- for 21 couples!

Held in Mumbai, the mass marriage, organised for couples economically backward families who can\'t afford high ceremony costs, was not your usual affair.

The brides were dressed in traditional attire, with their mehendi clad hands. As brides arrived at the wedding, ushers showered rose petals on them to welcome them.
