Chennai: Shocking! Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker Thambidurai hospitalised after heart attack

A shocking news has come to light after a Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker and AIADMK propaganda secretary M. Thambidurai was hospitalised after he suffered from a heart attack on Tuesday.

He has been admitted to Chennai’s Apollo Hospital after complained of chest pain, hospital and party and sources said.


The 71-year-old Deputy Speaker had served as the Cabinet Minister of Law, Justice and Company Affairs and also as the Minister of State of Surface Transport from 1998 March to April 1999.

Talking about his political career, he started working at the age of 18 as a youth worker and also student activist of the erstwhile united DMK in 1965, when he was doing his study from Madras Christian College.

He belongs to the Kongu Vellalar Community which is a majority community in the western districts of Tamil Nadu.

 

He had also contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Karur in Tamil Nadu. Subsequently, he was elected as a member of the Indian Parliament. Since 2009, he has been serving as the AIADMK leader in the Lok Sabha.
