Agra: Woman doctor killed over failed love affair, body recovered from empty plot

Corpse of a 25-year-old woman doctor was recovered from an plot in Agra’s Bamrauli Karara area, after she went missing. The deceased’s family alleged that she had been kidnapped and murder by a man who was harassing her.

As stated by police, the deceased was a doctor in the gynaecology department of SN Medical College and had completed her MBBS from a private college in Moradabad.


Victim’s family members had lodged a complaint of kidnapping and threat of murder at Agra’s MM Gate Police Station on Wednesday. Her father and brother alleged that a medical officer of the Orai Jalaun Medical College had been constantly harassing her and had even threatened to take her life.

Agra Police arrested the medical officer, Dr Vivek Tiwari, who later confessed of having committed the gruesome murder. Tiwari said he killed her because of their failed love affair. Tiwari revealed he first strangulated and then stabbed the victim in the car to make sure she had died.

SSP Agra Bablu Kumar revealed that there were injury marks on the body's head and neck. The autopsy report has also suggested that the woman fought in order to save herself before dying.
